Samaria Ladies suffered a 1-0 defeat to Police Ladies in the last game of the Ghana Women’s Premier league’s Southern Zone.

In a keenly contested encounter at the McDan La Town Park, Samaria Ladies, the home side looked promising from the blast of the whistle as midfield gem, Jennifer Owusua started knocking on the doors of Police ladies very early in the game, but couldn’t bury most of the chances created.

A long range cross from Juanita Aguadze was received by Eva Alice Danso in the 18yard box which she slotted home in the 37th minute, giving Police Ladies the lead.

Police Ladies, goalkeeper Nana Ama Asantewaa had to make a life-saving clearance for her side after Salma Jaibrail Sai’s free kick almost resulted in the equalizer in the 70th Minute.

After 90 minutes, Salma Jibrel Sai was voted NASCO Player of the match for her outstanding performance on the afternoon. For her Prez she takes home a NASCO phone and a NASCO hand dryer
