The Ghana Football Association has rolled out a number of interventions and policies for the growth of Women’s Football at both the elite and regional levels in order to align the Women’s game with international best practices. These interventions are also geared towards realizing the full potential of the Women’s game on the continent and beyond.

Introduction of club licensing basic requirements (i.e., venues, coaches qualifications (2020/2021 season) 2. 73 Referees and Assistants were taken through intense fitness test, technical and theoretical aspect, integrity and CMS training- Prampram (2020/2021 season) 3. WPL Coaches capacity building outside Ghana in October 2022 (Coaches Mallam Nuhu and Basigi were sent to Germany for training) 4.BETWAY capacity building for 20 WPL clubs in various areas ( Administrators workshop; Marketing Manager Workshp; Strategic investment workshop). Two seminars were conducted in 2021/2022 season and One in 2022/2023 season. 5. Capacity building for coaches, administrators, masseuses/masseurs for 2 years running 6. 2. In 2021/2022 Season GFA expanded WPL teams from 18 clubs to 20 clubs (Executive Council decision)- Each club now plays 38 matches 3. WPL has well defined Merit Awards 4.
