GFA donates to clubs and Dam spillage communities

The Ghana Football Association has donated relief items to the Football Clubs and Communities affected by the Dams spillage in Mepe in the North Tongu District.

The items include 2,500 bags (5kg) rice, 25 bags (100kg) gari, 20 bags (100kg) maize and 360pcs 500ml cooking oil. The rest are 60 cartons of tin tomatoes, 20 cartons of sardine, 20 cartons of soap, 20 packs of toilet roll and 1,000 bags of sachet water.

The donation was done on behalf of the GFA by Daniel Agbogah, Chairman, Volta Regional Football Association and the Director of the GFA Foundation, Malcolm Frazier Appeadu.

Receiving the donation, the Mankralo of the Mepe Traditional Area, Torgbe Korsi Nego VI thanked the GFA for the massive donation for the affected communities in the District. He called on other state institutions and functionaries who have made pledges to redeem them by emulating the worthy example of the GFA.

It will be recalled on 1st November 2023, the Board of Trustees of the GFA Foundation and the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association approved the GHS100,000.00 relief package and directed the humanitarian gesture respectively.

The donations to communities in the two other districts of Central and South Tongu are scheduled to take place this week.

Present at the ceremony were Caecar Franklin Heh, Vice Chairman, Volta Regional Football Association, Promise Ahiagba, Secretary of the Regional Football Association, Stephen Saforo and Solomon Poakwa.

The rest included Atsu Kwame Kuadey, Martin Torku,  Hamza Mutala, Innocentia Agbavitor, Foster Kudiabor, Mark Selom Coffie and Wisdom Junior Baka who are all high-ranking football officials in the Volta Regional Football Association.
