Executive Council engage Women’s Premier League clubs

The Executive Council has held a meeting with Chief Executive Officers and representatives of the Twenty Women’s Premier League clubs in Accra.

The meeting was to discuss proposals for the amendments of the GFA Statutes 2019 and other matters related to the formulation of policies for the development of Women’s football.

The areas discussed included representation at Congress, the Women’s football seat on the Executive Council and other novelty ideas.

The meeting was chaired by President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku and attended by Vice President Mark Addo. Executive Council members Habiba Atta Forson, Dr. Randy Abbey, George Amoako, Nana Sarfo Oduro, Kingsley Osei Bonsu, Frederick Acheampong, Alhaji Salifu Zida and Linford Asamoah Boadu were all present in the meeting.

Representatives of the twenty Women’s Premier League clubs made inputs and suggestions to the Executive Council for consideration.

The Council shall hold a similar meeting with the 48 Division One League clubs on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, and the Premier League clubs the following Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
