Champions Medeama SC will clash with second placed Nsoatreman FC in their outstanding betPawa Premier League game at Akoon Park Thursday.

Medeama SC recovered from excruciating 3-1 loss to Accra Hearts of Oak to beat Legon Cities 2-0 on Sunday following goals from Kamaldini Mamadu and Kofi Asmah ti hand them their fourth win of the season.

The Mauve and Yellows go into this match flying on the back of back to back wins over FC Samartex 1996 and Nations FC at the dreaded Akoon Park at Tarkwa.

In the absence of Evans Adotey, assistant coach Nana Yaw Amankwah, who supervised the wins over Bechem United and Legon Cities, aims to fight on until the return of the head coach.

Jonathan Sowah, Derrick Fordjuor, Abdul Fatawu Hamid, Kofi Asmah and shot stopper Felix Kyei are all available for selection.

Also pushing for a starting berth is Zimbabwe attacker Kudakwashe Mahachi who made a cameo against Legon Cities on Sunday. The former Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs forward has yet to start a game since his free move in the summer.

Nsoatreman FC have won once on the road (Berekum Chelsea 1-0) but their stupendous start to this campaign should be a warning sign to the champions as they head into the game with five wins out of eight games. Maxwell Konadu’s side have lost twice and drawn once thus far.

Abdul Manaf Umar, Mark Agyekum, Mohammed Abdul Rahamn, Eric Osei Bonsu, Emmanuel Kotei and Philip Ofori are all raring to go.

Abdul Manaf Umar will be making his 104th appearance in the Premier League Thursday following stints with Accra Hearts of Oak and Real Tamale United.

While Nsoatreman could go to the top of the table with a win, Medeama SC would move level with the Nsoatre side if they win on Thursday.
