Awuni second half strike earns Accra Lions point at Bofoakwa Tano

Accra Lions scored in the second half to grab a vital away point against Bofoakwa Tano at the Coronation Park in Sunyani.

The Accra based club have been winless in their last three matches following defeats to Asante Kotoko, Accra Great Olympics and Real Tamale United.

Najib Fuseini put Bofoakwa Tano ahead in the 2nd minute to send the crises into a frenzy but the hosts failed to increase the tally before the break.

Fuseini took advantage of a poor clearance and fired into the top right corner for the opening goal.

Star man Saaka Dauda was out through for the second goal before the break but Accra Lions defended well to maintain the slim margin.

Emmanuel Dzibah won the ball in the path of Bernard Kesse, who smartly put Awuni through for the equalizer in the 70th minute.

Accra Lions were left brooding after Mohammed Yahaya had his goal bound opportunity cut out by Alhassan Ali.

Accra Lions are now 15th in the table with 6 points - 5 points of the top whiles Bofoakwa jumps to the top of the table with 11 points.
