Asante Kotoko do battle with Bechem United Sunday

Former champions Asante Kotoko will face Bechem United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Asante Kotoko are unbeaten in their last four games with two wins and two draws with their last game against Aduana FC ending 1-0  with Kalo Ouattara scoring the only goal in the match.

The Hunters seems to have found their rhythm in recent weeks after recovering from a poor start to the season.

Bechem United are winless in their first three away games with a 2-0 loss to Nsoatreman, 4-1 loss to FC Samartex and a 1-1 draw at the El- Wak Stadium against Legon Cities.

The Porcupines have  dominated their last three meetings at home against Bechem United with three straight wins in 2020/21 - 4-0 at home, 2-0 victory in the 2021/22 season and 1-0 win in the 20222/23 season.

Asante Kotoko have scored 7 goals against Bechem United at home with the away aside yet to score in Kumasi in their last three matches in Kumasi.

Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum’s side are unbeaten in their last three games with two wins and a draw with the likes of Kalo Ouattara, Steven Mukwala Desse, Nana Banyin Amoah, Andrews Ntim Manu, Sherif Mohammed, Henry Ansu and Rocky Dwamena all available for selection.

Bechem United will rely on Emmanuel Avornyo, Augustine Okrah, Emmanuel Annor, Samuel Osei Kuffuor, Joseph Kinful, Isaiah Nyarko, Abdul Karim and Darlington Gyan Fosu on Sunday.

The game will be broadcast live on StarTimes Adepa channel 247 at 3pm on Sunday. 

Still on Sunday- Legon Cities will host Dreams FC at 3pm. Legon Cities drew 1-1 in their last home game against Bechem United and are unbeaten at home so far. Dreams FC are winless in their first three away games in the league with 1-0 loss to Bechem United, 0-0 against Hearts of Oak and a 2-0 loss to FC Samartex in Samraboi. The Royals have won once in their last five matches with 2 losses and 2 draws - sits 9th in the league table with 8 points. Dreams FC have won once in their last five matches with two losses and two draws and sit 10th with 8 points. Legon Cities have won once at home in their last three home games against Dreams FC since 2021/22 season with two of their games ending in a draw.

Elsewhere in Berekum - Chelsea will host Nsoatreman FC at the Golden City Park. Berekum Chelsea have won two of their last three games at home and are yet to lose at home.  Nsoatreman FC are winless in their their last two away games this season with one loss against Hearts of Oak and a draw against Dreams FC. Nsoatreman FC have played 19 away games in the League - with 1 win, 2 draws and 16 losses since their debut season in the 2022/23. The only away win recorded by Nsoatreman FC in the league was against Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park last season. BerekumChelsea sit 12th place with 7 points while Nsoatreman FC sit in 2nd place with 10 points having won 3, drawn one and lost one in their last five games. 

In Tarkwa - Defending Champions Medeama SC will battle FC Samartex at Akoon Park. Medeama SC won 2-0 against Samartex in the 2022/23 season and will be facing them for the second time since 2022/23 season. Samartex are winless in their three away games this season and are yet to score a goal following a 2-0 loss to Nations FC, 1-0 defeat to Nsoatreman FC and 0-0 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium against Hearts of Oak. Medeama SC are unbeaten at home with 2-2 draw against Accra Lions and a win against Nations FC but have one outstanding game against Nsoatreaman FC to play.

Returnees Heart of Lions will host Karela United at the adopted Hohoe Sports Stadium. The Kpando lads have relocated to Hohoe after the Dam spillage affected environs of Sogakope - another adopted home venue. Heart of Lions are unbeaten in the league after playing five games without defeat.

Karela United are winless in their last four games in the league with one loss and three draws.

At the Aliu Mahama stadium, Real Tamale United will face off with Aduana FC.

Finally, Great Olympics will battle Nations FC for the first time in the Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium. Olympics are desperate for the points after falling 3-1 to Aduana FC at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.

Nations FC sit in 16th place with one win, two losses and two draws after six round of games. Great Olympics have won two drawn two and lost one in their last five matches and sit 5th place in the league table. The Dade Boys are yet to lose a game at home after a 0-0 draw against Bofoakwa Tano on the opening day of the season. Olympics later recorded a  1-0 win over Gold Stars and a 3-0 win over Accra Lions in the other home games.

Nations FC are winless in their first three away games and will rely on the likes of Isaac Botchway, Barimah Baah, Amidou Diarra, Razak Simpson, Kwame Boakye, Emmanuel Agyemang, Nafiu Sulemana and Victor Oduro to change the unimpressive run of form. 

For Accra Great Olympics, Razak Kasim, Ebenezer Sekyere, Solomon Adomako, Kekeli Attor, Samuel Ashie Quaye, Solomon Twene, Micheal Osei, Micheal Yeboah and Emmanuel Antwi are all available for selection.

The game is scheduled for the Accra Sports stadium at 3pm on Sunday.
