Army Ladies put up a fine display to outwit Northern Ladies 2-1 in Group B of the Women’s Premier Super Cup, currently ongoing at Kyebi.

Mariama Oforiwaa then fired home a wonderful 25-yard, curling shot in the 24th minute to put Army Ladies ahead.

Obianuju Mary nearly got the leveller - within 60 seconds after the goal but her smashing effort came off the bar to the relief of Army Ladies.

Beatrice Akwaboah crashed home an unexpected shot past Army Ladies goalkeeper Mary Sosu to draw parity before the break.

Both side gave good account of themselves in the second half but Army Ladies had the the last laugh after Mariama Oforiwaa latched on to a cross for her second of the game in the 79th minute.

In end, Army Ladies held on to win 2-1 - setting the toke for a the second Group B game between League champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies and holders, Faith Ladies at 3:00pm.
