Zone One B leaders Bofoakwa Tano will renew rivalries with old foe Young Apostles at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Sunday.

With five League matches to end the Access Bank Division One League, Tano Bofoakwa lead Zone One B with 57 points – 12 points ahead of second placed Young Apostles who are on 45 points after 25 League matches.

Bofoakwa are known for their rich history on the domestic scene – having won the SWAG Cup in 1975 and produced a number of household names like Kwesi Owusu (a 1978 Africa Cup of Nations winner), Osei Boateng, Joseph Derchie, Dan Owusu (1974, 1975, 1976 League top scorer) and Opoku Sampene who later played for Asante Kotoko.

Bofoakwa Tano have been in the wilderness since 2006/07 when they got relegated from the Premier League. They have impressed in this season’s League following an outstanding run of form that has resulted in 18 wins, 4 defeats and 3 draws and head into the weekend as commanding leaders of Zone One B. There is plenty to play for when they clash with Young Apostles at the Coronation Park on Sunday.

In other matches – two former Premier League sides Berekum Arsenal and BA United will do battle at the Golden City Park on Saturday. One point separates the two sides going into this match – with BA United lying in 6th – one place above Berekum Arsenal in the League table. Meanwhile Mighty Royals will also host Nkoranza Warriors in another cagey test at Adehyiman Park.

Zone One A leaders Eleven Wonders and second place Debibi United have tough tests on the road.  Eleven Wonders will play away to Kassena Nankana FC at the Ohene Ameyaw Park while Debibi United travel to Techiman as guests of Wa Yaasin Juniors.
